Salt & Grace.
It’s a calling and a mandate.
Matthew 5:13-16 says:
“Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavours of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.
Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colours in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand – shine!
Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”
Salt & Grace.
It’s what our conversations should be filled with!
Colossians 4:6 teaches us to:
“Let your conversations always be full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”
A little about me.
Hi, my name is Tabitha. I’m a lover of Jesus, his word and the art of writing.
I live in Wollongong, Australia and am almost 28-years old. Growing up in a faith-filled family, I have always known of Jesus, but I personally invited him into my heart when I was seven-years old. We’re now going on 21-years strong.
Platform Purpose & Vission.
This platform (blog and Instagram} has been born from a God-prompting to create a space brimming with God-thoughts that are bible-based, for the purpose of encouraging anyone who may come across its words.
These words are built on TRUTH. That’s what we declare and proclaim. We declare truth in the midst if lies. We are a light in a plague of darkness.
I certainly don’t profess to know it all. In fact, the more I walk the God-path the more I realise how much there is still to learn. But this I know: that when God breathes a word into your heart, it has meaning!
Through this platform I’ll share some of the thoughts and revelations God shares with me, and invite others in my world to do the same. The voices on this page may not be scholars, but we’ll be people who love Jesus and seek to live a life that serves and honours Him.
My prayer and hope is that you may be encouraged through the words on these pages.
